The ThinLine Western Half Pad is ¼” thick and is designed as an economical pad that only covers the weight-bearing surface of the Western saddle. It is recommended for horses in high impact situations, such barrel racing, roping or other gaming activities, horses with sensitive backs, young horses, beginning riders, or horses spending long hours in the saddle like endurance, trail, or working horses. This pad should be used with a light cotton, sheepskin, or Navajo pad underneath it to protect the saddle from dirt and provide ultimate comfort.

ThinLine pads are 100% breathable, which means heat isn't trapped underneath the saddle, decreasing sweat and keeping your horse's back muscles cooler and more comfortable.
Eliminates Pressure Points
Since ThinLine doesn't compress or move away from pressure (like gel), but moves shock laterally, pressure points created by movement or position changes in the saddle are actually eliminated.
